Annalena is a PhD student in the Sorensen lab, working on stress responses of Ewing Sarcoma cells. Originally from Vienna, Austria, she enjoys Vancouver a lot. She loves being outside, reading and playing video games when it's raining.

Originally from New Brunswick, Rachel completed her BSc at the University of Ottawa before coming to the west coast to pursue a graduate degree at UBC.

Meredith is in Kevin Bennewith's lab and does TME research. Reach out to her if you need help with mouse experiments, flow cytometry, or anything immunotherapy related!

Ceren is a graduate student in the Evgin lab, focused on RNA-based strategies for in vivo CAR T-cell generation. Outside the lab, she loves exploring new cafes, playing board games and reading.

Katya is a Master’s student in Dr. Wan Lam’s lab, studying molecular and epigenetic alterations in lung cancer among former smokers. She completed her undergrad degree in Applied Animal Biology at UBC and worked in preclinical radiopharmaceutical development before joining IOP.

Ivan is a graduate student in the Dedhar lab. He runs the IOP Caucus social media.

Serena is a PhD Candidate in the Lockwood Lab! Outside of the lab, she likes reading, crafting, and a very casual game of volleyball.

​Arlene is the liaison for the IOGS program at SFU. 

Cathy is a PhD student in the Stirling lab, working on DNA damage repair mechanisms. She runs the comprehensive exam and awards workshops for IOP students.

Katie is a graduate student in the Lockwood lab. She is really excited to help current and incoming IOP students feel welcome and supported.

Pardis is a Master’s student researching the effects of tumor-derived EV's on NK cell function in the Garnis Lab. With a background in genetics and immunology, she's passionate about connecting science with storytelling. Outside the lab, she enjoys theatre, literature, and other creative pursuits that inspire new ways of thinking about science.

Tracy is a PhD student in the Holt lab working on vaccine development against the oncomicrobe Fusobacterium nucleatum. She's excited to contribute to the IOP Caucus through the peer mentorship program.

Abhi is an international graduate student from India & USA, researching DNA damage repair signaling and cancer.

Alima is a graduate student researching cancer and transplant immunology, passionate about bringing discoveries from the bench to the bedside. In her free time, she loves trying new things and picking up fresh hobbies — her latest gem is boxing!
