Travel Awards

Every MSc and PhD student in IOP receives one travel award of $2,500.  Students who transfer from the MSc to the PhD program can apply for one travel award while they are an MSc student and one travel award after becoming a PhD candidate, although receipt of this second travel award is not guaranteed and depends on the availability of sufficient funds in the IOP budget.  Please submit your application to the program coordinator, Sharon Ruschkowski, .

 

Your Application Package should include:

 

1.    A statement of how the meeting will benefit your research (200 words)

2.    Indicate whether you will be giving an oral or a poster presentation

3.    Your submitted abstract

4.    Your CV

5.    A budget for your trip. Where will additional money be coming from if required?

6.    Letter of recommendation from your supervisor
